Hey Cutter, welcome to the forum!!! Cali Kings can get anywhere from around 3 ft to as much as 5 ft long. I've found mine typically average around an inch of growth a month for their first 2 years, and then they tend to slow down a bit after that. ;)

Hiya guys - Was wondering what age my 24in cali king was we were told its about 6 months and were told they are fast growers and at this rate be full grown in a year and a bit..
But as Ace says a inch a month is more likely..lm guessing 3 years or so would be the time for full growth..maybe wrong !!

It's hard to guess a juvenile snakes age. There are many factors that can change their growth rates. Genetics, how often they're fed/or feed, and environment can all have effects on a snakes growth rate. It is possible to have a 24" Cali at 6 months, but with my Calis, they generally averaged about 1"/month. Generally 3-4years old is around when they slow to an un- noticable growth rate. Snakes, like all reptiles grow their entire life, so "full grown" is never really reached till they die. ;)

I have a book where the author says he raised a Gopher snake from hatchling to 5 ft in one year. However, the snake didn't grow significantly after that. It's genetics limited it to it's maximum size even with the radical growth it had in it's first year. ;)
