my lav king seems to be really small and eating pinkies seems to be difficult for it. It ate one and it was difficult for it but ate it and nothing happened, so I tried to feed it again, with a smaller pinkie and it regurgitated it so... what else can I feed the snake that it wont be so apt to bring it back up
also, it looks like its about to shed, but its looked like that since I bought so I decided just to feed it.. could that be a reason it regurgitated as well?

I don't know if I've read it wrong, but if your saying your Lav firstly ate the pinky then ate a second one, I'd say your Lav was still hungry.
The regurgitation could have been brought on by a number of things like stress, handling it to soon after it had eaten, wrong temperatures in your tank or as you say the prey might have been a little too much. Although, most hatchling king's, even the smallest babies, can usually manage to eat a newborn pinky mouse.
Another alternative you could try if you REALLY think pinkys are just too big at the moment could be to try and purchase a baby spiny mouse or baby pygmy mouse since these are ususally smaller than a pinky. But I reckon you should check the easy things first before ypu go to any expense and check the temperatures in your tank, make sure your Lav has a few hides just to ease any stress it may have.
If you think your Lav is due to shed then that MAY have caused it (Can someone verify that?) though some snakes prefer not to eat before they shed, and some do. You may find after your Lav has shed that it'll have no further problems.
Some of these guys will probably be able to help you out further (They know their stuff) when they come on.

Domino pretty much covered it. I'd check your temps first. Usually low temps are the culprit for most regurging cases. Shedding itself shouldn't affect it's digestive process. Since he did take one before, and you said this one was even smaller, I doubt size was the problem, and as Domino said, all but the smaller species of Kings can take pinky mice without much problems. So, check your temps and let us know!

My temperatures have risen more than dropped in the last week. My apartment has been having problems with the AC so it was about 80ish just by its self, so I basically just turned off the undertank heaters altogher during the day. and they've been staying around 80-85. My Striped Cali Kings cage got up to 88-ish today, so I dont think they're too cool.

Well, then I'd give him a week or so to "recover" and then offer again. If he regurges that one, a trip to the vet may be in order.

well I bought him at Petco and I have the "warranty" thing on him still so I think im going to reutrn him
beccccaauuseee I was cleaning out the cage alittle and I found the first mouse I fed it under the hide on the hot end so.. that twice and everything seems fine other than the snake so i'm gonna go up there and see if they have any idea or can maybe make my refund-2 weeks longer so I can try again in like 8 days and if they cant, I'm gonna just take him back. It sucks but if the snake is sick then... I donno what else to do because Vet bills seem like they're gonna be expensive and i'm just a poor college student. =S

Then likely he does have some type of infection or something along those lines. If they do take him back, I wouldn't take another snake from them as an exchange, because more than likely if one is sick, then the rest of their stock has the same thing.
If you do get another snake, I'd be sure to thoroughly clean out the enclosure he was in before adding another one to the same enclosure. Don't want a healthy snake getting sick from germs left behind.
