Really like how dark the melanistics look so far. Almost like a striped MBK!!! LOL

#5, nearly identical to #4 but with the stripe less prominant.

Fantastic! The blizzards are cool but I really like the hyper. Guess that proves your blizzard really is, eh?

Thanks Funky!! Yup, no doubt about it now!! LOL I was only going to keep one out of this clutch, but with the way the melanistics are looking, I think I'll keep one of each. I'll wait till after they're first sheds to see which ones stay the darkest with the melanistics and which blizzards are the "cleanest", or show the least amount of pattern.
One thing I wanted to see from putting Hershey and Satin together was whether or not they're "perfect" striping was an inheritable trait. Each has a perfect unbroken stripe from the napes of their necks to the tips of their tails, and so far with the hatchlings that the stripe is visible, so do they!!!
I seen on KS that you got your own little blizzard! Congrats!!!

Thanks TDK!! Yea, not really sure why, just prefer those striped Calis over the banded ones, and the one in the pic is a nice one!!
All 10 are out now. I wound up with what typical genetics says I should, 5 snows and 5 melanistics a 50/50 clutch. So far, I think for the snows it's going to be out of #1 and #9 that I may keep, and between #4 and #10 for the melanistics. I'll wait till after all of them shed to see if any patterns come out more or to see which melanistics are the darkest with the least amount of pattern. I have to say, I'm overjoyed with this clutch!!!
