I was trying to get get three tiny hatchlings to eat FTs today and set them up in their feeding containers. Then i went to the bedroom and took about a 3 hr nap. When i returned i realized i didn't snap the lid very good on one of them and there was a missing snake OH-NO ! ???Well i tried to remain calm, did quick search and NOTHING :'( So i turned out the snake room light went into the living room and started thinking how to turn the snake room upside down. After about a half hour i went back in to start looking again. Turned on the light and there it was ! ;D right in the middle of the floor :D I was lucky today ;)

I really stress out when I have an escape! The one that did it is a N. fla. eastern, jet blk with golden yellow bands, I believe very rare in collections on the west coast. Just got her and a male about a month ago it wouldv'e been a shame to have lost her so soon. You would not believe how happy i was when i apprehended her and put her back in custody lol! ;D

When i was little we had a five foot red tailed boa who escaped....and a week later our cat went missing lol well it turned out they were completely unrelated and we found both of them ((one behind the dryer and one behind the piano)) but it was very scary!

MY cornsnake escaped the first night i had him so naturally i FLIP out only to find him on top of my beardie's cage curled around the heat lamp :) and another time he escaped only to lay between his cage and the wall...does that mean he's content and doesnt need to look for anything outside of his cage or just stupid?

another time my hamster got loose the same day as my kingsnake and for the next four days im turning the house upside-down until i see some very reasuring hamster turds in the middle of my kitchen! the next day i hear my cat hissing at something only to find him backed into a corner growling at the hamster whos eating out of his food dish and about a week later i found my kingsnake, id been on my laptop and went for a lunch break, came back and he was on my keyboard looking at me all innocently.

in the 10ish years iv had my pets i think that i have had about twenty escapes total lol is that good or bad compared with other peoples?
