I love Tegus!
They are absolutely awesome.
I bought a Golden Tegu when I was about 14 or so - when mom found out, she made me take it back - we were not equiped to keep one.
I'm still not equiped, but someday ...

pinkies and a wax worm diet is WAY too much fat for leos. Plus, the clitin(sp) in pinkies makes it hard sometimes for the leo to digest, just like how the outter shell of super worms sometimes dont fully digest.

What about Turkistan roaches?
I'm planning on breeding them as alligator lizard food - they apparently are very rapid breeders, don't make noise like crickets do, and while they can jump, are far less likely to escape and crawl around your house.
They are relatively expensive for the seed roaches, but apparently they breed like mad.

I breed Turkish roaches and Dubia roaches. Roaches in gerneral have a high meat to shell ratio which is deffinally a good thing and are suppose to be more nutritional than crickets.
